The Ruby Red Trilogy is a series of three fantasy novels by German writer Kerstin Gier. The three books are Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green. The books have been translated into over twenty-seven languages and sold internationally.
Kerstin Gier’s Ruby Red Trilogy is a mix of suspense, Romance and action. 16-year-old Gwenyth, just found out that she inherited a time travelling gene from her family and now she must help other time travellers in their missions.
Gwyneth lives in the 21st century with her sweet mother; her cute little sister Caroline,; her 12-year-old brother Nick. She also lives with her stern Grandmother Lady Arista; Her aunt Maddy; Her jealous aunt Glenda and Her beautiful yet self-praising cousin Charlotte.Their family’s bloodline includes a time travelling gene. Originally the gene was supposed to go to Charlotte but it went to Gwyneth who wasn’t prepared for such things.
While I recommend this trilogy to Fiction Readers, I would rather recommend it to 16 -17 years old because it fits with them and also because they can relate to it in one way or another, understanding the what happens when you are introduced to something you never knew your whole life.
Over the course of these Books, Gwyneth overcomes her fears, understands the world better and most importantly becomes mature and realizes that know can control her.One good fact about these books is that you could tell and imagine what Gwyneth was going through and what she was feeling.
As these books are narrated by Gwyneth, we hear her thoughts, see her realize things and work solutions for problems faced. This book is wonderfully put to together by Kerstin Gier.
Gwyneth’s feelings, dialogues and thoughts are so genuine and real because that would be almost any 16 years old’s reaction on knowing that they inherited the time travelling gene.
The Ruby red trilogy or the Precious stone Trilogy is perfect for readers who like Romance, suspense and Science Fiction. Kerstin Gier is a wonderful writer who wrote exactly what readers wanted to read.
